Tips When Wanting To Travel Light

If your going travelling now or in the summer, this post is worth a read. So I hope your sitting back on your lazy Sunday evening before your busy week starts with a cup of tea (or even glass of wine) in hand. Travelling is something we all look forward to, its a break away from reality and a time to spend with a loved one getting to make memories. We want to stay comfortable but still look great in our pictures but its sadly not like home - we cant just pick put an outfit from our wardrobe suiting how we feel or whats the weather going to be like. We have to bring the correct items in our luggage which we can wear throughout our holiday, something practical, something suiting the climate and the activities your going to pursue.

First of all we need to think of the weather - if your going to a hot climate bring clothes and shoes to suit, same goes to a cold climate. Going on a city break? Bring one jacket for dressy wear, this can be a faux fur, leather jacket or a bomber jacket of any kind. This will do you at night when going for dinner and you can also wear it to the airport to save space. Bring a light jacket with a hood in case the weather takes a turn and your out exploring because the last thing you need is getting your hair wet.

Bring more tops than trousers. Jeans and pants take up the most room. They can be hard to fold, so bring maybe three pairs so you can mix and match with your easy to fold tops and jumpers.

Keep dresses and skirts limited ladies. Every time I go somewhere, I tend to over-pack dresses which I don't end up wearing because I either want to stay warm or I want to stay casual. Keep your look limited and if you do end up bringing some make sure to only bring 2-3 dresses depending on how long you are there for.

Only bring two pairs of shoes in your case. After all, staying comfortable is essential especially with the amount of walking, a pair of runners or boots depending on your style will keep you looking and staying relaxed for the day.

Fold your clothing items as small as you can get them and do not over-pack. Keep your clothes, shoes, underwear, PJ'S, hair appliances in your case and keep your make-up, perfume and cosmetics in your large handbag your going to bring with you. I would also advice bringing a small clutch bag for travelling in the day for your money, phone, lipstick and passport.

Last but not least, make sure you have room in your case because remember your not going to a deserted island and I'm sure your going to see something you like to bring home. When I was in Italy I had no room to bring home stuff and I was so upset because of this (the shops in Italy are amazing). So don't do what I did and make sure to have lots of room in your case.

Wherever you tend on going, I hope this helps!
Stay comfortable and stylish,

Tips To Stay More Organised.

Hey everyone, I hope your week is good. Its nearly the weekend and its safe to say the weeks are flying by. Merely because of this it can be hard to get organised and this is what I'm here to talk to you about. The girls in college say I have some type of disorder were I have to have everything organised but I don't think that can be a bad thing right? I feel that once your organised you feel better about yourself and what your doing. It can make you day/week easier, especially when you know what your going to do and when.

So, if your not an organised person and wish to become one its never too late. Start by buying a notebook or diary. I have so many and Penneys now have an amazing range on notebooks. They are all so cute and affordable. You can never have one too many!! When I wake up in the morning I tend to write my to-do list of what I have to get done in the day, by doing this your obviously going to become more organised.
Another way is to start getting up that little bit earlier, I know it can be hard to drag yourself out of your warm bed but once you do and get cracking you feel great about yourself. Going for a swim or jog can also make you feel more energised in the morning which will leave you with lots of energy to kick start your day. (Also lots of water).
Prepare before bed. Especially if you are going away the next day, always leave out what your going to wear, your makeup and shoes. It will give you more time to get ready and you don't have to be rushing. I find there is nothing worse while rushing and getting ready. You always either forget something or aren't happy with the way you look.
Last but not least, balancing your time. This is key, make sure to balance you day or week between work, college, spending time with friends and most importantly YOU TIME. Spend an evening once a week treating yourself to a pamper night, getting your nails done or evening sitting back and watching your favorite film. Its so important to balance you week it will result in a more organised schedule.

I hope this can help you all in some way and I hoped you enjoyed the read!!

3 Staples We All Need In Our Closets.

Hey everyone, I hope you all are having a lovely week and enjoyed the sunshine we had today. For once in Galway the weather was good which means the spring season is finally on its way. As of tomorrow we hope to see more sunshine and put on our light springtime clothes once again. So, the piece I'm going to write about is mainly guiding you all through three staples we all need to have hanging in our closets. By this it varies by person. We can have one too many of a clothing item in a different style, colour or shape; but guess what who cares once your comfortable in it.

My three pieces I cannot live without are simple.  Although they probably change every year alongside my style, these five are sure not to let ME or YOU down. Having your favourite staples are an easy way to dress any outfit and also a way not to help you out when your in a rush going out on the town (not knowing what to wear).

Number one - Investing in a pair of black skinny jeans. You can basically buy black jeans anywhere, but having a comfy fit alongside quality can be hard to find. I always buy my jeans in River Island, they are a great fit, they stay in perfect condition after numerous of washes and lastly you can always depend on them to wear with literally anything, at any occasion, any season.

Number two- Ok, you probably can see from my Instagram posts my love for Faux fur. Probably one of the best buys a girl can make is fur. - it can never go out of style. Its classy, sophisticated and beyond fab. I have about five or six fur jackets all in different colours, I remember buying my first one  few years in Berska and at the time it was so expensive. Now you can purchase them in Penney's with the same quality but at a way cheaper price.

Number three- Last but definitely not least is the polo neck styled jumpers/tops.I LOVE these, they are such little life savers. Whenever your stuck on an outfit these tops come in so handy. Penneys and Zara have a great range all less than 10euro. I would recommend buying them in black, white and beige. They are probably the most easy colours to match an outfit with - or whatever colour matches your style.

An Update On Everything.

Hey everyone, I decided to just give you all a quick run through on things on my blog so far. As promised my first VLOG will be up in two weeks time. Ekkkkkkkk! I'm so nervous but excited at the same time, it will be my first time to do anything like this so its kind of cool to do something different. I wanted something new and fresh for my blog, as much as I love writing and its something I want to do when I leave college; I think the whole side of Youtube is good to know about. Who dosn't love following vlogs on youtube? I'm only after starting watching some after my housemates in Galway are obsessed with them. So basically my first vlog will be just an introduction for those who do not know me,  its kind of a tester for me as well to see how it goes. I will keep you posted and updated on the vlog when it comes nearer to the time, but for now my competition winner will be revealed this week. If you have not already entered before or want to enter one last time, keep liking and sharing the post for it on my HaylsKouture facebook page. I spent this weekend working and working on my blog, with the internet been so so bad at home I only got publishing this now (even though it was written Friday, I had to change it all around). Anyways, that's all for now and I will keep you updated during the week.

My Outfit Collection From Winter 16/17

Happy Thursday everyone!! I know its late January, and I'm only talking about this now. But I decided its better to talk about my winter outfits and where I purchased them when the Christmas is over. Also it gives me a chance to talk about how to adjust your wardrobe over from winter to spring. Although our Christmas weather has been quite awkward we still found ourselves in our classic woolies. So quite simple, I'm just going to guide you along briefly of what I wore and if you want something similar etc, don't hesitate to contact me regarding any questions.

This is just some of my outfits, the rest are on my HaylsKouture Instagram account but unfortunately they're taking an age to download. So I will attach the link to click onto and in each of my outfit pictures I tagged where I bought the clothes so I hope that helps!! Likewise, adjusting from winter to summer can be hard for some and for others people cannot wait to get out of heavy clothing. I know it can be unfortunate with our weather here in Ireland and sometime we find ourselves over wearing our favourite clothing pieces over and over again. Although its not quite springtime yet, for the time we have left of January; still hang on to your knits which can go great with a pair of jeans and boots or pumps. Also stay on to your scarfs which can be worn instead of an oversized jacket to keep you that tad bit warm this month!

Love,
HaylsKouture.

My Trip To Rome.

With Christmas done and dusted, whats more better than taking a trip away? Luckily enough, last week myself and Daniel headed to sunny Rome to witness all the beautiful city had to offer. We spent four days here, and returned back home to snowy Ireland just last Thursday night. I'm currently back in college, after spending last night celebrating my birthday with my friends because my birthday was last week when I was away. I suppose like majority of students, I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things especially as my hours in college have increased and I have a new timetable. But enough about college, and lets talk about Roma.

Where do I even start? Its beyond amazing, the artwork, architecture, scenery and culture is breathtaking. We stayed in the Eurostar International Palace, its located right in the centre of the city and is a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum- in other words it is beside everything. The hotel was like a museum itself, the staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. So, if your looking for a place to stay while visiting the city I highly recommend the hotel. We booked it through booking.com.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. As I'm a big fan of site seeing, artwork and everything historical the city was never ending. On our first day we walked along Palatine hill, got to see the Colosseum alongside the area of ruins which was incredible.
With all our walking around the city and early flight all we wanted by night was an Italian meal, glass of wine and relaxing time in a cool bar or as we did visit the Trevi Fountain. Getting a good nights sleep and limiting your time when away is essential. You need to get up early to get ready, have food before planning your day. Walking around inquires lots of energy, so balance everything to keep you untried on your travels.

On our second day, my 20th birthday; we visited Vatican city. Got to capture the beauty of the area and all it had to offer. It was breathtaking and if your visiting Rome this is a must do. Everything about the Sistine chapel and Vatican is a remarkable memory alone. That night we had a fab meal for my birthday and made way to the Spanish steps and of course walked around the city in the beautiful moonlight. My jumper I wore for dinner was actually bought in Rome. That day we were passing by a boutique and I fell in love. Daniel bought it for me and its so comfortable. The sleeves caught my eye and I adore the knitted feel as it was quite chilly at night. (Better glance at it on my Instagram).

Our third and last day consisted of doing everything else touristy in the city, from going on the hop on hop off bus, exploring the famous shopping streets, and eating pizza. The country all in one is affordable, I thought it was going to be similar to Paris and be expensive, but I thought wrong. Food for the two of us came to around 30.00 per night. The site seeing was more or less free, and we didn't pay for travel (only to and from the airport) as we were located in the centre. The hop on hop off bus is a most do also, it brings you all around Rome to capture the major to-do places. We also visited the trendy district of San Lorenzo and the Pantheon  alongside the Trevi Fountain (again) on our last day to top off our amazing trip.

Many of you have asked me about the trip so I hope this covers all you wanted to know. I know some of you already follow me on snapchat so you seen what I got up to during my time away. I also have pictures on Instagram and Facebook. My upcoming VLOG at the end of the month will just be an introduction and after I kinda get the hang of that I hope to put up one of Rome.

I know it has been a long read which I'm glad I got the time to do as I'm wrecked from been out so late last night, but anyways I'll keep you updated during the week with more posts!
