My Trip To Rome.

With Christmas done and dusted, whats more better than taking a trip away? Luckily enough, last week myself and Daniel headed to sunny Rome to witness all the beautiful city had to offer. We spent four days here, and returned back home to snowy Ireland just last Thursday night. I'm currently back in college, after spending last night celebrating my birthday with my friends because my birthday was last week when I was away. I suppose like majority of students, I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things especially as my hours in college have increased and I have a new timetable. But enough about college, and lets talk about Roma.

Where do I even start? Its beyond amazing, the artwork, architecture, scenery and culture is breathtaking. We stayed in the Eurostar International Palace, its located right in the centre of the city and is a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum- in other words it is beside everything. The hotel was like a museum itself, the staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. So, if your looking for a place to stay while visiting the city I highly recommend the hotel. We booked it through booking.com.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. As I'm a big fan of site seeing, artwork and everything historical the city was never ending. On our first day we walked along Palatine hill, got to see the Colosseum alongside the area of ruins which was incredible.
With all our walking around the city and early flight all we wanted by night was an Italian meal, glass of wine and relaxing time in a cool bar or as we did visit the Trevi Fountain. Getting a good nights sleep and limiting your time when away is essential. You need to get up early to get ready, have food before planning your day. Walking around inquires lots of energy, so balance everything to keep you untried on your travels.

On our second day, my 20th birthday; we visited Vatican city. Got to capture the beauty of the area and all it had to offer. It was breathtaking and if your visiting Rome this is a must do. Everything about the Sistine chapel and Vatican is a remarkable memory alone. That night we had a fab meal for my birthday and made way to the Spanish steps and of course walked around the city in the beautiful moonlight. My jumper I wore for dinner was actually bought in Rome. That day we were passing by a boutique and I fell in love. Daniel bought it for me and its so comfortable. The sleeves caught my eye and I adore the knitted feel as it was quite chilly at night. (Better glance at it on my Instagram).

Our third and last day consisted of doing everything else touristy in the city, from going on the hop on hop off bus, exploring the famous shopping streets, and eating pizza. The country all in one is affordable, I thought it was going to be similar to Paris and be expensive, but I thought wrong. Food for the two of us came to around 30.00 per night. The site seeing was more or less free, and we didn't pay for travel (only to and from the airport) as we were located in the centre. The hop on hop off bus is a most do also, it brings you all around Rome to capture the major to-do places. We also visited the trendy district of San Lorenzo and the Pantheon  alongside the Trevi Fountain (again) on our last day to top off our amazing trip.

Many of you have asked me about the trip so I hope this covers all you wanted to know. I know some of you already follow me on snapchat so you seen what I got up to during my time away. I also have pictures on Instagram and Facebook. My upcoming VLOG at the end of the month will just be an introduction and after I kinda get the hang of that I hope to put up one of Rome.

I know it has been a long read which I'm glad I got the time to do as I'm wrecked from been out so late last night, but anyways I'll keep you updated during the week with more posts!

My Skincare Regime.

As promised, I want to talk to you all about my favourite skin care essentials. I know during Christmas we are all constantly  wearing makeup so its often hard to find that time for your skin to take a break. However, make sure you ladies always take of your makeup before bedtime. I know it can be an effort sometimes to take it off, but having your skin in perfect condition is key. Its just three simple steps of cleansing, toning and moisturising.

So, I have always used Nivea products which I find great for your skin. I'm lucky as I don;t have oily or dry skin so I find the Nivea helpful for balancing my skins.  The Nivea products can be purchased in Cara Pharmacy at a great deal. They are usually between six to ten euro and the smell the lotion is to die for.

This Christmas I changed around my skincare products ( I know I change around quite a lot, but its good to see the difference in products). I'm now using Vichy Products which can be purchased in any pharmacy. So far the products are amazing and I highly recommend them. My skin is feeling as smooth as ever, and I got the set which consists of the cleansing milk, toner, spray for your face, a day moisturiser and night moisturiser.

I also recommend face masks. Purchasing in a good mask is a must do. Its a great way to relax and provides your skin with great comfort. Its an all in one cleanser and removes all unnecessary dirt, blackheads etc.

I hope this was helpful. I wish I got more time to talk through the steps of the Vichy products ( but Im on an essay deadline). Anyways, I'm sure you all get the jist of applying the creams and NEVER forget to moisturise your skin before bed.

Here is a picture of the products and any further questions dont forget to ask!!

Love,

The Christmas Countdown.

OK, I can finally squeeze in a half an hour me time towards my blog. With one exam down, and two more to go - I can thankfully say this time next week I can finally relax and thank that the dreadful exam season is over and most importantly look forward to Christmas with my family and friends. Its so frustrating trying to squeeze everything into your week and trying to stay updated with my blog while study is a tricky situation to say the least. But anyways, the week after next is a new week. I can prepare my self to finally start my Christmas shopping, plan attending upcoming blogging events, focus on my blog ( lots of new plans and ideas for the new year) and last but not least reveal my HUGE giveaway.
As you can see from my HaylsKouture website, I have a new travel section on it. So plans are, in the new year I'm going to focus on my travelling more, reviewing my stay away and give advice on what to do, see etc. I really love travelling and getting to write about it is something I really want to do. Plans for my summer are coming together, but I will reveal more about that in upcoming months. For now, I hope you understand my delay on new blogposts, and I will post a new one as soon as Im finished the dreadful exams.
Thanks for reading, and keep your eyes peeled on my website in the upcoming weeks.

The Golden Christmas List.

Before I start this piece, I just want to let you guys know that I have been so busy the past while. My exams are starting next week and I just about got this time this evening (after a long day of study) to publish this. Anyways, enough about me and some time for you. With Christmas just around the corner, we need to have be writing our wish lists. Its crazy to think Christmas is nearly here, where has the year gone? I know some of you organised ladies probably have your shopping done and dusted but majority of us haven't even started yet and that is including guilty me.

So to help you, I have decided to each day post a fashion piece on my Facebook page from now until Christmas. I will attach the link to buy online alongside the price. It can be a great way to buy for a friend or even yourself. Look at me as your own personal shopper in other words. I know it can be tricky to buy for people especially when one can have everything. So that is why Im happy to help. Underneath is a selection of cute gifts to get you started.

Have a lovely, warm evening in front on the fire.

We Want It All.

The above title matches what Im about to talk about. That is of course the beloved ever lasting knitwear. We want every colour, style, size, pattern and label - its simply a clothing item that will never grow out of style. While doing my research I actually found many new chic online stores which provide us with cosy jumpers and winter essentials. I will attach a link below for you all to have a browse, but before I do that I want you all to unclutter your closets and pick out at least five of your favourite winter pieces. This is simply because these pieces will be your top picks this winter and knowing what colour and style you like helps you decide what more you need to buy. I find I always go for the oversized knit, as it is warm and comfortable but yet so stylish with a pair of skinny jeans and boots. Penney's hold a great range of jumpers and so do New look. If you go onto my Instagram you will see I bought a classic grey knitted sweater in New Look last week for only 11.00. Like everything the price range varies, you can go out and buy an over expensive jumper for 100.00 and buy a look alike from a high street store for only 10. So be careful on where you are going to purchase. Anyways, Im going to link up some websites and stores which offer us an excellent range of knitwear for every style and age.

Winter Coats: Zara Vs Penneys.

Are you a Zara lover or a Primarkaholic? Maybe you even cant get enough of both, but thats not a problem right?! Gratefully, a lot of you girls have contacted me asking me about my jackets and faux fur lately. I have quite a few faux fur gilets and coats, which I started buying back a few years ago until now. Luckily, the dont go out of style; so that is why they most likely look new. I always seem to purchase my coats from Zara (surprise, surprise). They as we know have a top of the range coat collection offering every style and colour suitable for whatever your taste might be.  Recently I have noticed the great selection Penneys are offering, and they are becoming extremely popular within everyone's closet. Even our high end magazines and Instagrams are exploding in what Penneys have to offer us. In the following I picked different looks from both high-street stores suitable for this cold upcoming winter. Moreover, I hope it helps you with finding the right fit alongside look.

Happy Shopping!! X
