London Love

I know I'm late writing this, but between college, work & my new hobby modelling (part time), ive literally had no time to tell you ladies about my fantastic weekend in London. My lovely Daniel for Christmas got me this as my present, as he knows me better than anyone else; it has always being on my list to visit. So after I splashed out my cash on new clothes, we set off overseas for our little journey. Basically for our three days, we visited every tourist venue, from the London eye to Picadilly Circus we really made the most of it. My favourite was the Opera house on our last night- talk about a show! Note to self, if visiting London go to a show, and also go to Covent Garden. As the weather was great, the evenings were sadly chilly. My big plans of wearing my sassy dresses were wiped out- luckily for my mollys, they came to my rescue.

On our first day I wore, my burnt orange waterfall jacket from Primark, alongside an everyday blouse from New Look I paid 20.00 for. It comes in black too, and I have to say it is great for casual wear. My shades are from Primark only 4.00 and my bag from River Island.

That night- I went casual again, as I was wrecked from our day of travelling & walking. The top was a crochet top from Zara, along with my burnt orange flares from Bohoo. I wore my beige waterfall jacket with it too, with a sleek back look and simple makeup.

Day 2- I wore my beige pollo neck jumper, my orange culottes ( I know, ive a problem with orange; but its springtime). My white pump-sandles were from Primark, there new in for 16.00. A must have for summer!

That night to the Opera, I wore my leather blazer from Berska, my white mollys & a white T from Selfriges in London I got that day. I tried a sleek look in my hair, it made the outfit I think stand out- the plainer the hair, the classier the outfit.

Day 3- I wore my kacky green jeans with my blazer. Sadly I took no full length photos. But heres a close up of the sunny day that was in it.

Oh and before I go, I treated myself to my first designer bag from Selfriges. I bought a nude Ted Baker bag for £130. I know its a lot, but in comparison to the Vivienne Westwoods they were a best buy. I'm a sucker for the expensive things, but it could be worse right? Always treat yourself ladies.
I also bought Charlottes Tilbury magic foundation, as Im Macs best customer I thought I would go for a change, and spice up my foundation. Luckily it wasnt a regret I'm happy to say, so if you want a change go to +Charlotte Tilbury  or +Selfridges .

So if your thinking about a trip with a loved one, go to London.. If your a shopaholic and want to see the world go! <3

Lipstick Steps From Mac

While I was in Dublin today, I decided to meet up with one of the very talented Mac make-up artists in BT2. She basically showed me the best guide to the best lips. Alongside secret tips to give you that "Kylie Jenner" look. We all love big lips, but its sometimes hard to complete the look. I myself find it hard to relax my hand while applying the liner; but as they say practice makes perfect right? The following "Antique Velvet" look is the perfect essentials to get your evening look. I bought the following lipstick, and liner today in Brown Thomas along with Ariana Grande's gloss which is on limited edition for charity. Any ways to the point im getting to, I decided to show and share the amazing tips I achieved today to you ladies. Right now, I dont feel confident enough to start vlogs, (maybe in the upcoming months). But for now, im just going to show you in simple steps, the simple way to achieve this chocolate brown look. Oh and dont forget if you have any questions --- +Brown Thomas

So here is the booklet, which gives you a step by step guide to all looks. From simple sophisticated to exotic bronzes goddess. The book is free in Brown Thomas, and trust me it is so helpful. It tells you what and what not to do during your make up session. So what are you waiting for? Go pick one of these bibles up.

This is what I bought, costing in total  40.00 without the gloss which was 19.00. Now remember you can buy lipsticks and liners in this shade anywhere, it does not have to be a Mac brand. I simply bought the Mac because its pro long wear, which means I can get about 8 hours wear from it, without having to keep applying it. Always look at the brand before buying, because you dont want to keep touching up every five minutes. The lipstick is called "Antique Velvet". Its a matte lippy, which means it has no shine towards it. (Thats why we finish the look of with a sassy gloss). There is so many shades of this brown, from light to dark. They are all fantastic and a must buy. All colours are great for this season - but better for a night out; as it gives one that bronzed look. The liner  is "Bittersweet" pro longwear lip pencil. No words to describe this, but it lasts a lifetime. It shapes your lips into a perfect juicy lip, and makes your lippy stand out. Tip of advice, always wear lip liner. It helps you while applying your lipstick and structures your lips, which highlights whatever colour you wish to wear.

Ok, so enough rambling. Before I start the colour trend, always remember to moisturise your lips with a cream or balm. In this case, a mac lip pro long primer was used. You only have to use the smallest bit, which makes your lipstick last longer.

Next comes to famous liner, so start of with the edge of your lips, pulling back the corner of your lips to achieve a fuller upper lip. You do this on both sides, finishing with the lower lip, and colouring in a small bit of the lower with the liner to give it that "contour look".

When you have finished, use a lipbrush (skinny make up brush) to apply the lipstick. Slowly apply the lipstick using the brush and make sure not to go over the structure of your lips. When finished, use a cotton wool to remove any access colour. You dont want to over do it right? Followed by applying gloss on both the upper and lower lip. It makes such a difference if you want more than the matte look.

I hoped them few tips helped you gain a better way and hopefully easier of applying on lipstick. Always remember if you are having a smokey eye go for a nude, soft colour on your lips. And if your going for a retro colour on your lips, go for a soft pastel colour eye. There is so many great tutorials on youtube, and you can use any colour to achieve the look I gave, not just this one. Mac is personally my favourite, and the girls that work there are extremely helpful. The stores are all over Ireland, so pop in for more make-up advise and essentials the next time your shopping!! XOXO

Too Much Shoes? Girl Please.

Having too much shoes in ones closet is not so much of a major problem. The problem is wanting to buy more. But not to worry, because every woman is the same. We all love our shoes. For me buying shoes is my guilty pleasure. Im always online shopping, snooping to buy more. Recently I made my way into the delightful River Island, ( for just a look) until I glanced towards shoe heaven with an astonishing sale on. All shoes, boots, runners & pumps on sale at great prices. So ladies get yourselfs in there, before March is over to buy atleast one pair. Also note to self, dont just think because winter is over the bad weather is gone. In Ireland we will always have changing weather, so go have a look at the boots. The boots are probably my favourite, simply because you can wear them during the day for casual wear or even wear them on a night out. Above I will show you a quick glimpse of shoe haven from River Island, and if your feeling extra lazy to go into the store, a link for online shopping!! X

Lights Camera Lashes

Lashes are a the finishing piece to a perfect face. Personally I think they make ones face more complex, reflecting their over the top look and most of all reflecting how gorgeous one looks. A lot of people dont even think of wearing eyelashes on a night out- mainly because there hard to put on, or even people find it hard to find the perfect pair. Well ladies thats why I'm here, to show you the perfect steps of applying on the right lashes for your face. As ive mentioned above, for me I literally cannot go outside the door on a night out to wear them, I just feel something is missing from my face. My eyes are quite small, so wearing them makes them looks bigger and more exotic. I use Inglot lashes, which are 12.00. You can purchase them in any Inglot shop or even online.  I find them easy to apply alongside I get good wear out of them.

When applying lashes:

  • Make sure to buy a pair suitable for your face/occasion/ alongside a good glue which regularly comes with the lashes in the packaging.
  • Before applying, hold the lashes up to your own eyes, sometimes they can be too long, if so cut the appropriate length  with a scissors.
  • The big step is next ( trust me, it took me ages to get the hang of it),  apply a thin layer of glue along the edge of the strip, leave it to dry for ten seconds followed by placing the strip on your own laces.
  • If you find this difficult use a tweezers to apply, especially if your using individual lashes.
  • Once you have the first eye done, do the same for the other.
  • Even watching tutorials on youtube can help you put them on.
  • Once both lashes are put on are you happy with them. Apply some mascara onto the false lashes to give it a fuller look alongside eyeliner.
If you feel there not sitting properly or the glue is not staying, remove quickly and try again- because you dont want to feel uncomfortable for the night or look silly. So I hope this helps you greatly, and dont forget to bring your glue out with you just in case your eyelashes fall off.

Now here is a list of the top five lashes you can buy in stores. Remember while buying, if going for a simple look buy a simple pair and vise versa. Enjoy <3

How Can You Go Wrong With A Clutch?

Clutch bags are the perfect piece to an outfit. They are cute, fashionable & most importantly classy. Instead of carrying around an awkward big bag on a night out you can just carry your miniature bag around with your night out essentials. However it can be hard to find the perfect clutch- too small or to big. River Island for me personally have the right sizes, they hold your money (obviously without your purse), hair comb, make-up and phone.   I always buy my clutch bags from here, at a price of around 30.00. Recently I purchased my beauty of a clutch in RI. Its glamorous and great for a night out with friends. Obviously there is a great selection of bags here- in all shapes and sizes. Also Penneys hold a great variety, cheerful & cheap. But ladies anywhere you go, you will see an eye catcher clutch. Always remember to buy one that can go with anything, casual or stylish. In the following I will show you some of my favourite clutches alongside my top four from my guilty pleasure River Island all under 40.00.

Fashion World -1

As we all know the fashion world is a huge industry. With all the different styles, eras, spotlights & designers it all links to one big craze right? It is evenly divided into many sectors of fashion, from casual sports wear to elegant frock gowns. We all have our own style, it often changes but our internal style stays forever. It even depends on the day or your mood- if your feeling lazy what's best but baggy pants, a jumper alongside your hair in a messy bun. Since I have being blogging I noticed more exotic styles such as boohoo & indie. I think the more indulged you are in fashion., the more little things in styles you remember. Even though we all love Chanel, Alexander Wang & Balmain, its hard to afford it especially for college students like myself. Maybe some day I can splash my cash on a pair of Dolce heels, but for now ill stick to our truly loved affordable shops. Shopping in Ireland can be fun, thats if  you have the right stores alongside knowing what your looking for. Its sometimes hard to find the perfect outfit or the perfect pair of heels. But dont stress- there's always online shopping, and of course many other places. What I find when shopping, is that when you need something urgently you tend to buy the first thing you see- not looking at the price nor even if its that nice. I think we are all guilty, and tend to do it a lot. Any more dont, as i said before there is so many other ways, even if your event is the next day- dont buy something for the sake of it. It will just leave a clutter in your wardrobe. My advice for the day, is when coming up to an event maybe two-three weeks before browse online, see what you can see or what sparks your interest. If you dont, the week before go on a major shopping spree, and if all comes to fail borrow of a friend or wear something you wore before. Lesson of the day: dont buy inconvenient clothes just for the sake of it- it will get you nowhere.
